Work
experience
2016 - 2023
Senior editor, VICE News
After being promoted from news editor in 2019, I planned, assigned, and edited news, features, and videos across a range of topics, including criminal justice, extremism, drugs, and environment. I'm especially proud that I helped oversee a Scripps Howard Award-winning series on first-time female candidates.
2015 - 2016
Weekend editor, Business Insider
In this role, I implemented a strategy to publish 8-10 enterprise and feature stories for the top of the homepage every weekend, which increased traffic by 25%.
2013 - 2015
Reporter, Business Insider
I started my career covering policing, the death penalty, and the Supreme Court. I also still get emails from a personal essay I wrote about having sleep paralysis.
